Water Melon Bread (西瓜造型面包) – Bread Maker SC-T20A2 (面包机)

Use SONG-CHO BREAD MAKER to create this awesome Water Melon lookalike bread!

Ingredient (2LB, 900g):

  • High gluten flour (bread flour) 180g
  • Plain flour 180g
  • Butter 25g
  • Egg 1 pc
  • Salt 1 “t” teaspoon
  • Sugar 3 “T” tablespoon
  • Yeast 2 “t” teaspoon
  • Raisin a handful
  • Water or Milk 240ml
  • Green colouring a few drops
  • Red colouring a few drops

*Not in pic – plain flour

Steps (dough):

1) Place the mixing blade into the empty bread barrel.

2) Pour the ingredients into the bread barrel in sequence (important). Milk or Water >> Salt >> Sugar >> Egg >> Bread & Plain Flour >> Yeast (yeast to be poured on top of the dry flour and must not come into contact with salt)

3) Place the bread barrel into the Bread Maker and fix it by turning it at a clockwise direction (ensure it is properly fixed).

4) Close the cover and on the power.

5) Press MENU till number 12 RISE DOUGH and press START. Takes 90 minutes to complete the process.

Steps (water melon pattern):

6) When the Bread Maker beeps, take out the dough and remove the mixing blade. Divide the dough into 4 portions, 2 big, 1 medium and 1 small.


7) Take 1 big dough and spread out using a roller pin. Add a few drops of RED colouring instead, knead well and sprinkle raisins over and shape it into a ball (you can use 11. DOUGH function to help with this manual work).

8) Take the medium dough, spread it out and place 7) onto it and wrap it up, shape it into a ball, set aside.


9) Take 1 big dough and spread out using a roller pin. Add a few drops of GREEN colouring and knead it till colour is well mixed (you can use 11. DOUGH function to help with this manual work). Shape it into a ball.

10) take the small dough and add a few drops of green colouring, the dough should have a darker green tone than 9). This will serve as the pattern of the outer shell. Divide into 10-11 pieces and knead into long strips.

11) Spread out 9) and place 10) onto the spread out dough side by side and roll it when all strips are placed on the dough.


12) Place 8) onto 11) and wrap it up, close the edges, shape into a ball.

13) Place 12) into the Bread Maker, press MENU till 16 RISE and press START. It will take 50 minutes for the dough to proof. The size should expand after 50 minutes.

14) When the Bread Maker beeps, press MENU till 17 BAKE and UP arrow button to change the baking time to 50 minutes. Press START 2x (ensure the START button light is lit).

15) Open the lid when it is done. Using the hook provided, bring the barrel holder up (careful, it’s hot!). Hold the holder using a cloth or mitten, remove the barrel by twisting it at an anti-clockwise direction. While the bread is still hot, remove it from the barrel by holding the barrel upside down using a cloth or mitten and shaking it (do not use sharp object to try to get it out). If the bread sits inside the barrel for too long, it may wrinkle and affects the texture.

16) You may choose to brush it with butter to have a nice outer sheer. Slice the bread once it has cooled down and enjoy the fresh bake.

* Cleaning the BREAD MAKER

Just need to wash the bread barrel and mixing blade with mild detergent and non-abrasive sponge. For the Bread Maker itself, use a damp cloth to wipe the interior and exterior of the machine and leave it to dry. All cleaning/washing should be done only when the Bread Maker has cool down.

清水 或牛奶>> 盐 >> 糖 >> 鸡蛋>> 面包粉和普通面粉 >> 牛油 >> 酵母 (要将酵母放置在干的面包粉上, 不可与盐接触)

3) 将面包桶顺时钟安装在面包机内 (注: 确认桶要装好)

4) 盖上机盖, 插上电源

5) 按MENU至12号键RISE DOUGH 然后按START, 面包机开始操作 (需90分钟)

做法 (西瓜造型):

6) 当后面包机发出哔哔声, 打开机盖把面团取出, 取出叶片. 把面团分成四份, 2大, 1中, 1小

红色内部 –

7) 接下来把把较大的面团拉开揉平滴几滴红色素揉搓均匀 (可利用面包机11. DOUGH功能帮忙揉搓面团), 然后加入葡萄干揉搓均匀. 最后搓成球状待用

8) 把中型的面团拉开揉平将7放在面团上然后把它包裹起来搓成球状待用

绿色部分 –

9) 把较大的面团拉开揉平, 滴几滴绿色素揉搓均匀 (可利用面包机11. DOUGH功能帮忙揉搓面团). 最后搓成球状待用

10) 把的面团滴几滴绿色素揉搓均匀, 颜色必须比9来嘚深做为西瓜皮条纹. 把它分成10至11份, 搓成长条型

11) 把9绿色面团拉开揉平再把10排排分布在面团上用面擀揉平

结合 –

12) 把8面团放在11上把它包裹起来封密开口, 搓成球状

13) 把12放入面包机内, 按MENU至16号键RISE 然后按START, 需50分钟让面团发酵. 50分钟后, 面团面积应该膨胀

14) 当后面包机发出哔哔声, 按MENU至17号键BAKE, 按上箭头50分钟, 然后按START两次 (START灯必须亮起).

15) 程序完成后, 打开盖子. 利用钩子将面包桶的手柄拉上 (小心烫), 再利用抹布将面包桶逆时钟取出. 在面包还热时从桶内取出 (用摇晃方式, 不要用利器或其他物件将它挖出). 如果把面包置放在面包机内太久, 面包很容易呈现皱纹, 影响口感.

16) 如喜欢, 可在面包表层涂抹牛油, 即好看又美味. 待面包冷却后切片享用 .
