NONYA DELIGHT 娘惹新煮意: Babi Chin (芫荽粉焖猪肉) – Magic Quick Cook (松厨魔法气压锅)

Let instructor Helen Lim demonstrates a yummy Babi Chin using SONG-CHO Magic Quick Cook! Sedap!

Serves 4


  • Belly Pork 850g (cut into 1cm strips)
  • Dried Shiitake Mushrooms 100g
  • Bean Paste / Tau Cheo 100g (pounded roughly)
  • Black Soy Sauce 2 tsp
  • Oyster Sauce 1 tbsp
  • Shallots 250g (pounded finely)
  • Garlic 40g (pounded finely)
  • Cinnamon 1 stick
  • Roasted Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • Palm Sugar 50g
  • Water 50 ml
  • Oil for frying
  • Cornstarch Water a little


  1.  Wash the dried mushrooms and soak the dried mushrooms in a bowl of warm water. Cut the mushrooms into strips and leave them soaked, set aside.
  2.  Add some oil into Magic Quick Cook before the pot gets heated up. When the oil is hot, add shallots and garlic, fry until fragrant, turn medium heat.
  3.  Thereafter, add bean paste, palm sugar, cinnamon stick, coriander powder, oyster sauce, black soy sauce, belly pork & shiitake mushroom into the pot, mix well and add water.
  4.  Cover and lock the lid and cook for 5 minutes (start timing when the balancing weight starts to rock).
  5.  Open the lid when the pressure indicator is down, add cornstarch water, mix well and the pork belly is ready to be served.

  • 五花肉 850克 (切约1公分大小)
  • 香菇 100克
  • 豆酱 100克 (略微捣烂)
  • 黑酱油 2茶匙
  • 蚝油 1汤匙
  • 小葱头 250克 (捣碎)
  • 蒜蓉 40克 (捣碎)
  • 桂皮 1 支
  • 芫荽粉 2茶匙
  • 椰糖 50克
  • 清水 50毫升
  • 油 (备来炸蒜蓉和小葱头)
  • 适量太白粉 (加水勾芡) 1-2 汤匙


  1.  把香菇洗净用温水浸泡, 然后切成条状继续让它浸泡水中备用
  2.  用魔法气压锅, 冷锅下油, 开中火加入小葱头, 蒜蓉爆香
  3.  然后加入豆酱, 椰糖, 桂皮, 芫荽粉, 蚝油, 黑酱油, 五花肉和香菇炒匀, 加入清水
  4.  盖/锁上气压锅盖,5分钟 (配重头开始摇摆才计时)
  5.  指示阀降下后才开盖, 加入太白粉水搅匀即可上碟
