Use Song-Cho Magic Quick Cook pressure cooker & Buffalo Wok to prepare yummy yam cake. Simply irresistible!

Serves 4


  • Yam 800g (skinned & diced)
  • Dried Shrimp 180g (washed, soaked & drained; keep the soaked water)
  • Chinese Mushroom 100g (washed, soaked & diced; keep the soaked water)
  • Shallots 150g (thinly sliced)
  • Garlic 100g (finely chopped)
  • Tapioca Flour 100g
  • Rice Flour 400g
  • Water 1200ml
  • Chinese Mushroom Water/Dried Shrimp Water 400ml
  • Salt 20g
  • Chicken Powder 1 cube
  • Five Spice Powder little to taste
  • White Pepper 30g
  • Oyster Sauce 1 ½ tbsp


1) Add oil into Buffalo Wok, add shallots and stir-fry till fragrant. Add garlic, dried shrimp, Chinese mushroom, seasoning (five spice powder, salt, white pepper, mushroom & dried shrimp water, oyster sauce), mix well, reduce the heat to medium/low and let It continue to cook.

2) In a separate bowl, add the 2 flours together and mix well. Add water bit by bit and stir continuously till the mixture is well mixed and into a liquid paste.

3) Pour the flour mixture into the simmering wok and mix well till it forms a thick consistency before scooping it into an oiled mold (or container).

4) Place a trivet inside the Magic Quick Cook and pour water till it reaches the trivet level, place the mold onto the trivet.

5) Close the lid in clockwise direction (align the arrow on the lid and handle), press the lid gently down (ensure it is closed properly); push the side button down (to lock it) and straighten the balancing weight. Turn high heat.

6) When the balancing weight starts to rock, turn to small/medium heat and cook for 10 minutes, turn off the heat thereafter.

7) Open the lid ONLY when the side pressure indicator drops (IMPT!), take out the mold (careful it is hot!), slice it when it cools down and enjoy!

  • 芋头 800克 (削皮切丁)
  • 虾米 180克 (洗净, 浸泡水中后沥干, 保留水)
  • 香菇 100克 (洗净, 浸泡水中后沥干切丁, 保留水)
  • 小洋怱 150克 (切细)
  • 蒜头 100克 (剁碎)
  • 薯粉 100克
  • 粘米粉 400克
  • 清水 1200毫升
  • 香菇水和虾米水 400毫升
  • 盐 20克
  • 鸡精块 1块
  • 五香粉 少許
  • 胡椒粉 30克
  • 蚝油 1 ½ 汤匙


1) 冷锅下油, 将小葱头稍微爆香, 加入蒜蓉, 虾米, 香菇, 调味料 (五香粉, 盐, 胡椒粉, 香菇水和虾米水, 蚝油) 翻炒均匀, 调中小火让材料煮滚

2) 把粘米粉和薯粉倒入一个大碗内搅拌均匀, 然后边搅拌边加入水至糊状

3) 把面糊倒入煮滚的材料中, 翻炒均匀炒至濃稠再倒入抹了油的模具里

4) 把模具放入加了水和蒸架的魔法气压锅内

5) 顺时钟盖上锅盖 (锅盖和手柄的箭头要对准), 轻轻压下 (确保盖好); 把开关钮往下推 (锁住), 将配重头固定位置 (弄直), 开大火

6) 当配重头开始摇摆时, 调中小火, 此时开始计时10分钟后熄火

7) 等到指示阀下降后开盖 (重要!), 取出芋头糕, 待冷切片即可享用
