Want a healthier rice dish option other than claypot rice? Try this nutritious and healthy 8 Treasures Brown Rice demonstrate by Ms Vinitha Ang of Nutrihub using Song-Cho SC-FCM58 Rice Cooker, great for the entire family.

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • Brown rice or mixed rice (brown, red & black rice) 2 cups – rice cooker cup (washed and drained)
  • Peanuts 40g (may use Lotus Seeds)
  • Gingko 80g
  • Dried Shiitake Mushroom 4 medium pcs (soak in warm water till soft, drain and cut into small pcs)
  • Cabbage 1 leaf (rinse & cut into small pcs)
  • Carrot 60g (cut into small cubes)
  • Old ginger 5 slices
  • Water 3 cups (rice cooker measuring cup)
  • Cooking oil 2 tbsp
  • Pine nuts 2 tbsp (toppings)
  • Wolfberry (Goji berries) 2 tbsp (rinsed; toppings)

Seasoning

  • Black bean sauce paste or oyster sauce 1½ tbsp
  • Rock salt ½ tsp
  • Veg G powder or chicken/veg powder 1½ tsp
  • Cinnamon powder 2 dashes

Steps

  1. Add oil into SC-FCM58 rice cooker before it gets heated up. Select STEW function, takes about 2 minutes to heat up; add ginger slices and mushroom, stir fry till fragrant.
  2. Add peanuts, gingko and stir fry for 1 to 2 minutes. Next, add cabbage, carrot & mixed rice and mix well. Add water.
  3. Add seasoning, close the lid and select GRAIN function; takes approximately an hour for the rice to be cooked.
  4. After the rice is cooked, let it simmer for 15 minutes before opening the lid. Remove the ginger slices and stir the rice well.
  5. Add pine nuts & wolfberries as topping, mix well before serving.

材料

  • 糙米或混合米 (糙米, 红糙米和黑米) 2杯 – 用饭锅附的量杯 (洗净, 沥干水分)
  • 花生 40克 (或用莲子也可)
  • 白果 80克
  • 香菇 4朵 – 中型 (浸泡温水中至软, 沥干水分, 切丁)
  • 包菜叶1片 (切丁)
  • 红萝卜60克 (切丁)
  • 老姜5片
  • 清水3杯
  • 油2汤匙
  • 松子2汤匙 (配料)
  • 枸杞子2汤匙 (冲洗; 配料)

调味料

  • 黑豆酱或蚝油 1½ 汤匙
  • 岩盐 ½ 茶匙
  • 蔬菜粉或鸡精粉1½茶匙
  • 肉桂粉2小撮

做法

  1.  冷锅下油, 按MENU 键至STEW 功能, 需约2分钟热锅, 加入老姜片和香菇炒香
  2.  接下来加入花生, 白果翻炒1-2分钟再加入包菜, 红萝卜, 糙米翻炒均匀, 加入清水
  3.  加入调味料, 关盖, 按MENU 键至GRAIN 功能, 按 START 键; 需约1小时
  4.  程序完成后, 让它焖15分钟后才开盖, 把老姜取出, 加入松子和枸杞子, 拌匀即可盛起享用
