Carrot Cake (萝卜糕) – Magic Quick Cook Pressure Cooker (松厨魔法气压锅)

Try this simple carrot cake recipe at home using SONG-CHO new Magic Quick Cook Pressure Cooker. Simply yummy!  🙂


Serves 4 to 6


  • Rice flour 600g
  • Water 750ml
  • Radish 1.2kg (shred it)
  • Red carrot 200g (shred it)
  • Dried shrimp 100g (soaked & drained)
  • Chinese mushroom 5 pcs (soaked and chopped)
  • Garlic 3tsp (finely chopped)
  • Red onion 3tsp (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – garnish
  • Fried shallots – garnish
  • Chili strips – garnish


  • Salt 3tsp
  • Sugar 2tbsp
  • White pepper 1.5tsp
  • Sesame oil 2tsp
  • Oil 5tbsp




  1. Pour rice flour into water, mix well and set aside.
  2. Pour oil into wok, when the wok is heated up, pour chopped red onion, garlic and dried shrimp, stir-fry till fragrant. Pour in the chopped mushrooms, continue to fry. Pour radish, follow by carrots, continue to stir-fry till soft. Add in seasoning, mix well.
  3. Pour in the rice flour mixture, stir well till it thickens.
  4. Scoop the mixture into a baking tin (lined with aluminum foil). Pour water into the Magic Quick Cook pressure cooker and place a trivet inside. Place the filled baking tin into the pressure cooker. Cooking time is 25 minutes (timing starts only when the balancing weight rocks).
  5. Once done, garnish with coriander leaves, fried shallots and chili strips.

You can choose to pan-fry it after it cools down and is more solid.


Operating Magic Quick Cook:

  • Close the lid in clockwise direction (align the arrow on the lid and handle), press the lid gently down (ensure it is closed properly); push the side button down (to lock it) and straighten the balancing weight. Turn high heat.
  • The side pressure indicator will rise when pressure starts to develop; when the balancing weight starts swaying, turn to small/medium heat. At this point (when the heat is turned down), cook for 25 minutes. (Normal: the balancing weight will sway and release steam throughout the cooking process)
  • After 25 minutes, turn off the heat.
  • Open the lid ONLY when the side pressure indicator drops (IMPORTANT!).

  • 粘米粉  600克
  • 水750毫升
  • 白萝卜丝 1200克
  • 胡萝卜丝 200克
  • 蝦米 100克 (浸泡后沥干)
  • 香菇5朵 (浸泡后切粒)
  • 蒜茸 3茶匙
  • 红葱头3茶匙 (剁碎)
  • 芫荽 少许(点缀)
  • 炸红葱头 少许(点缀)
  • 辣椒丝 少许(点缀)


  • 盐 3茶匙
  • 糖 2汤匙
  • 胡椒粉1.5茶匙
  • 麻油 2茶匙
  • 油 5汤匙


  1. 粘米粉加水搅匀备用
  2. 冷锅下油, 待热后将红葱头, 蒜茸, 蝦米先爆香, 然后加入香菇翻炒。后加入白/红萝卜丝继续翻炒至软, 加入調味料翻炒均匀。
  3. 加入占米粉水搅至糊
  4. 放入蒸盘 ,用气压锅蒸25分即可 (当配重头摇摆开始计时25分钟)
  5. 撒上芫荽, 炸红葱头和辣椒丝就完成了




  • 顺时钟盖上锅盖(锅盖和手柄的箭头要对准),轻轻压下(确保盖好); 把开关钮往下推(锁住),将配重头固定位置 (弄直), 开大火。
  • 指示阀会随着锅内聚积的气压而上升; 当配重头开始摇摆排气时, 关中小火, 此时开始煮25分钟。(正常: 在烹煮过程中,气压锅会释放水蒸气,配重头也会不时地旋转并释放水蒸气)
  • 25分钟后熄火。
  • 等到指示阀下降后才开盖 (重要!) 。
