Korean Spicy Rice Cake (韩式辣炒年糕) – Ideal Wok (Ideal平底万用锅)

I like my spicy food and Korean spread. Join me on a “trip” to the land of Korean Spicy Rice Cake using Song-Cho 30cm IDEAL Wok! 🙂

Serves 3 to 4


  • *Korean rice cake 1kg
  • *Korean topokki sauce 450g (ready-made sauce)
  • Sugar 2tbsp
  • Garlic 6-7 pieces (chopped into small pieces)
  • Chili padi 3 pieces (slice finely, remove seeds if prefer less spicy)
  • Dried shrimp 300g (wash, soak in hot water for a while and chop into small pieces)
  • Sesame oil 2tsp (to taste)

*Can easily be purchased from supermarkets.



  1. Pour oil into wok.
  2. Stir-fry garlic, chili padi and dried shrimps together till fragrant.
  3. Add in Korean sauce, stir-fry a while.
  4. Add rice cakes, stir-fry.
  5. Add water bit by bit if sauce is too thick.
  6. Cover wok, turn down the heat and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Add sesame oil to taste.
  8. Stir-fry till the rice cake becomes soft. Scoop up when ready and garnish with sesame seeds.

利用松厨30cm IDEAL Wok  烹煮韩式辣炒年糕。



  • *韩式年糕 1公斤
  • *韩式辣炒年糕酱 450克
  • 糖 2汤匙
  • 蒜蓉 6-7粒
  • 小辣椒 3条 (切细, 怕太辣可去籽)
  • 虾米 300克 (用水洗净后,用热水泡一会儿, 切细粒)
  • 麻油 2茶匙




  1. 冷锅下油 (用于不锈钢锅)
  2. 将蒜蓉,小辣椒和虾米爆香
  3. 加入韩式辣炒年糕酱, 翻炒一下
  4. 加入年糕,继续翻炒
  5. 如果酱料太浓稠,加入适量清水
  6. 盖上锅盖,关小火,让它焖煮15-20分钟
  7. 加点麻油增加香气
  8. 煮至年糕软后便可上碟, 洒上芝麻便完成
